How will payment information be generated?
The amount of the customer’s payment and Ameren account number will be transmitted
electronically from Speedpay to Ameren. Ameren will not receive the customer’s
credit or debit card information.
The financial institution will include the total amount paid on the customer’s
itemized statement just as all charges are listed—therefore, the customer’s
statement will constitute verification of the date and the total amount of the transaction.
The total amount of the transaction will include the amount paid to the utility
company and the Speedpay convenience fee.
